Fly to your winter sports destination

Delen

Nothing lasts forever, including the summer. But don't worry because for winter sports enthusiasts this is when the fun really starts! The long, sunny days of summer make way for long evenings by the warm fire. Everyone gradually starts moving from the garden back into the cosy home. Are you starting to get the itch and can't wait to pack your bags and step into a good layer of powdery white snow? Find out how to fly directly from Eindhoven Airport to your favourite skiing destination!

Rested and ready at your winter destination within hours

If you've been on a skiing holiday before, you know what to expect. Long days on the slopes, muscle ache on the first days and not much time to really rest. A long journey by bus or car might be great fun, but it often makes you feel very tired even before the holiday starts. The big advantage of flying is that, as opposed to travelling by bus or car, you arrive at your destination feeling rested and ready for action. There's simply no better way to start your winter holiday!

Winter sports for beginners: Doing a pizza down the slope without a worry

The first time on a winter holiday can be really exciting. For the skiing novices among us, there are also plenty of winter sports destinations where you can learn the basic skills without it busting your budget. You can rent skis in most resorts, which means you can easily travel to your winter destination by plane. That saves a lot of beginner's stress, because you don't have to worry about the long road trip and buying all the expensive skiing or snowboarding gear!

If you'd rather start small than going straight to the busier tourist ski regions, you might want to try relatively unknown winter sports destinations such as Poland and Romania. The slopes are slightly less challenging than in the Alps, but that also means they are perfect for the novice skier. In addition to the small scale, you're guaranteed to have plenty of snow and a spectacular scenery. You can fly to either Krakow or Wroclaw in Poland from Eindhoven; Bucharest is the best city when flying to Romania. And it's a great chance to visit Dracula's Castle while you're there!

Eins, zwei, drei...

Winter in the Alps isn't just about skiing or snowboarding for many tourists. After a day of going full speed down the slopes, many don't slow down during the après ski in the local tavern. It's one big party, but where are the best ones? Austria has been one of the favourite après ski countries for years. Destinations like Ischgl, Saalbach and Hinterglemm often do well among a large group of Dutch holidaymakers. From Salzburg airport, it's about an hour's drive to Saalbach Hinterglemm, two towns often mentioned in one breath. Does Ischgl, aka the Austrian Ibiza, sound like even more fun? Then it's just a short drive from Innsbruck Airport!

Flights from Eindhoven to your favourite winter sports region

Not every airport is located close to a winter sports destination. Flying from Eindhoven Airport, however, gives you plenty of choices from Austria to Poland. Which winter sports destination appeals to you the most? Fly there next winter with Transavia or Ryanair!
