Places to visit in Zadar

The Forum is the cultural and historical heart of the old town of Zadar. It is surrounded by the archaeological museum, St. Anastasia Cathedral, St. Mary's Church and the Church of St. Donatus. The Church of St. Donatus is the symbol of the city. Its unusual round shape makes the church the most famous example of early medieval architecture in all of Croatia. Visiting surrounding areas and cities is easy from Zadar. You can take the train to Split, for example, or go by car. Next to Split lies the town of Trogir, which features on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
