Civilian shared use permit Eindhoven Airport 2024

Share

Eindhoven Airport received the 2024 civilian shared use permit on December 12. The permit runs from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024. This permit allows a maximum of 41,500 aircraft movements per year for 2024. In the new permit, the licensed noise load goes down further to 8.9 km2. Reducing the noise load again this year is in line with Pieter van Geel's advice on the development of Eindhoven Airport until 2030. When calculating the permitted noise area, the expected further fleet renewal in 2024 was taken into account.

As in 2023, the maximum number of planned takeoffs on Sunday mornings between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. remains limited in 2024. Scheduled landings after 11 p.m. are already not allowed as of Oct. 25, 2020, with the aim of minimizing disturbance to local residents in the late evening hours. Planned takeoffs were already not allowed.

Eindhoven Airport's goal is to reduce noise and CO2 emissions from air traffic by 30 percent by 2030 (compared to 2019).  Eindhoven Airport's recently published Commitment 2030 explains how these goals will be achieved.
