That's why we have listed the best Christmas market destination for you. And the great thing is, you'll be strolling along the stalls in a matter of hours when you fly from Eindhoven Airport!

Málaga Christmas market

Málaga may not be the first city that comes to mind when you hear the word Christmas market. But did you know that Málaga is the Christmas city of Spain. Once a year around Christmas, the city transforms into a fairytale setting. One of Málaga's most famous and traditional Christmas markets is located on Paseo del Parque, in the heart of the city. The Christmas market also has an array of fun rides and attractions for the kids. You can find all kinds of trinkets and Christmas decorations, but also home-made ornaments, books and, of course, a wide choice of local delicacies.

Advent Zagreb

Advent Zagreb in Croatia has been voted Europe's best Christmas market for three years running. And for good reason! The Christmas market is spread all over the city, creating a truly delightful atmosphere. You won't have time to be bored when visiting Advent in Zagreb. Go to concerts, visit a photo gallery or do a workshop, Advent Zagreb has a daily programme for everyone. The Christmas lights illuminate the streets and the many stalls are sure to have exactly what you want for Christmas. There's even large ice rink for young and old to show off their ice skating skills.

Tivoli Copenhagen

The Tivoli Christmas Market in Copenhagen Denmark is a bit different from other, more traditional Christmas markets. This amusement park has many attractions, from a merry-go-round for the kids to a Ferris wheel and even a roller coaster. In the park there are several stalls that sell a variety of local and international delicacies. You can even decorate your own honey cake heart. On 31 December, Tivoli offers the chance to enjoy a lovely New Year's dinner in one of the restaurants and start the new year with a fantastic fireworks show.

Christmas market in Bucharest

On Constitutiei Square in Bucharest, Romania, there are over 100 small Christmas stalls filled with handmade items, traditional clothes, toys and delicious local food. The handmade products are crafted by the locals and therefore all have an authentic Romanian touch. Enjoy the traditional delicacies while listening to live music. For children young and old, there are also merry-go-rounds and an ice rink!

The Schönbrunn Christmas market in Vienna Austria welcomes over a million visitors each year and is hugely popular.
