Eindhoven Airport provides special services for passengers with special needs or reduced mobility in order to travel comfortably. The following explains how to receive assistance with transportation at the airport, the location of facilities and other matters that require special attention.
Need assistance? Make an early request!
If you require assistance, it is important to make this known as soon as possible. When booking your flight, please inform your travel agent or the airline company of your needs. Furthermore you need to inform Eindhoven Airport via email@example.com. A request for assistance must be made at least 48 hours before departure or arrival. Assistance such as a wheelchair service will then be available to you at the airport upon your arrival.
Client service at the airport
If required, a member of the airport assistance staff will collect you or bring you to a number of locations at Eindhoven Airport. You must indicate the required location when applying for assistance. If someone brings you to the airport, you will need to be present at the airport two hours prior to departure.
You can be collected at or brought to the following locations:
- Car park P1: this car park has special parking spaces for the disabled, which are marked with the international symbol of access (wheelchair symbol). These are the first parking spaces on your left and can be reached by following the signs ‘arrivals and departures’. When driving into the car park, you can communicate your arrival by using the intercom. This only applies if, at the time of booking, you requested to be collected at the car park.
- Bus stops: you can communicate your arrival by calling the Eindhoven Airport information desk at 0900 9505 (€1.- per call). When calling from abroad, please dial +35 227 000 767.
- Information desk: this desk is located in the departures hall of Eindhoven Airport.
Parking for the disabled and less able
You can park your car in any parking space available at car park P1. When arriving to Eindhoven Airport before your journey, please bring your disabled parking permit and parking ticket to the information desk. You will then be charged the lowest parking rate for long-term parking.
If required, wheelchairs are available for use at the airport. You can also bring your own folding wheelchair (without battery) with you on your flight, free of charge. We recommend that you inform your travel agent or airline company well ahead of your departure that you wish to use this service. We also kindly ask that you check in early, so that the wheelchair can be secured for the flight.
Facilities within the terminal
Eindhoven Airport has dropped kerbs, disabled parking spaces and disabled toilets to provide easier access for the disabled and less able.
Special terms and conditions
We wish to point out that some airline companies have special terms and conditions. For example, wheelchairs with ‘wet’ batteries are usually not permitted on aircrafts because they fall into the category of hazardous substances. Sometimes restrictions regarding wheelchair dimensions exist as well. If you wish to transport a wheelchair by air, the airline company must often be informed at least 72 hours prior to departure. Please make sure that you obtain all necessary information from your travel agent or airline company and check their websites.
