Record number of passengers and record net profit in 2025

Eindhoven Airport published its 2025 annual report today. It was an exceptionally successful year for the airport. The airport made significant progress on the major construction project ‘Terminal expansion’, which remains on schedule. Financially, 2025 was an excellent year. The airport achieved a net profit of €25.2 million on revenue of €100.5 million (2024: net profit €23.3 million; revenue €96.2 million).

In 2025, Eindhoven Airport welcomed a record 6,956,486 passengers (departing and arriving combined). In 2023 (the previous record year), passenger numbers stood at 6,814,214 (2024: 6,798,982). Customer satisfaction remained fairly stable in 2025, with a Net Promoter Score of +42 (2024: +43). Naturally, Eindhoven Airport stayed within the agreed limit of a maximum of 41,500 aircraft movements. Support for the airport remains strong; 76% of the local community is positive to very positive about the airport.

Roel Hellemons, CEO of Eindhoven Airport: “At a time when many conflicts and wars are raging around the world and polarization is high, we realize more than ever how important connectivity is. Connecting regions, countries and people is an essential and rewarding function of the airport. As Eindhoven Airport, we bring people together—for a holiday, a business trip, or a visit to family or friends abroad. With the region becoming increasingly international, the airport plays an ever more important role in bringing people together. By now, more than one in three of our passengers travel to visit family or friends. In addition, half of our passengers come from abroad.”

In 2025, Eindhoven Airport recorded 41,011 aircraft movements (take-offs and landings combined). In 2024 and 2023, this number was 40,826 and 41,496 respectively. This means the number of aircraft movements in 2025 was around 0.5% higher than in 2024. In 2025, flights operated to 76 destinations (2024: 79). Net profit in 2025 amounted to €25.2 million (2024: €23.3 million). Eindhoven Airport’s revenue increased by 4.5% in 2025 to €100.5 million (2024: €96.2 million).

In 2025, it became increasingly clear what the terminal expansion will look like. The expansion (2,000 square meters before the Security Check and 10,000 square meters after the Security Check) will provide substantially more space and comfort for passengers and visitors. These are also the reasons for expanding the current terminal—which is too small because it was originally built to accommodate a maximum of 5 million passengers. There will also be more space for gates and a baggage basement. In addition, the arrivals hall and the non-Schengen area will be expanded, and there will be more room for additional food and beverage outlets. The building has reached its highest point, and progress is being made on the construction of the expansion’s entrance building, for which the foundation has now been laid. From the summer onwards, work will start on fitting out the terminal expansion. The expansion will be completed in July 2027, ensuring that passengers and employees feel even more at home in the terminal.

In 2027, the runway renovation is scheduled between 1 February and 19 July. As a result, the Ministry of Defence runway—also used by Eindhoven Airport—will not be available for five and a half months. This means no flights will be possible to or from Eindhoven Airport during that period. This large-scale and impactful event will affect passengers, airport employees, and airlines operating at Eindhoven Airport. Airlines will temporarily divert to other airports. In 2025, constructive discussions about employment were held with various partners at the airport to ensure a smooth restart in the summer of 2027.
