Reaction to reports on runway works at airport Eindhoven

Yesterday, various media reported on plans by the Ministry of Defence to carry out large-scale runway works at Eindhoven Air Base, a military airport of which Eindhoven Airport is a co-user for civil aviation exports. The start, duration and scope of these works depend on final decisions by the Ministry of Defence as the owner of the airfield. Given the questions raised by the reporting, Eindhoven Airport informs the following: if a final decision is taken by Defence to carry out the works, they will not start before 2027. The final decision is expected at the end of February when the total scope and schedule of the works will be known.
