Eindhoven Airport forecast October: 3,817 flight movements and about 626,000 passengers

Share

Eindhoven Airport expects 3,817 flight movements and some 626,000 passengers (inbound and outbound added up) in October. That's about 62 departures and 62 arrivals per day. Thus, the expected total number of flight movements and expected total number of passengers in October is lower than in September. October is the last month of the aviation summer season; in that month, total flight movements and total passengers are normally always lower than in September.

With nearly 659,000 passengers (inbound and outbound added up) and 4,049 aircraft movements, September was, as usual, a busy month. Total passengers were almost at the expected number of 660,000. The number of flight movements was slightly higher than the expected number of 3,955. The average occupancy rate in September was about 88 percent.

During the autumn vacations in October, Eindhoven Airport expects a busy week with well-occupied aircraft. After the fall vacations, the summer season comes to an end; on Sunday, Oct. 29, the winter season begins, which runs through Saturday, March 30. During that period, the number of flights decreases. The average number of flights per week during the winter season is about 318 (an average of 45 departures and 45 arrivals per day). In the summer season, it is 440 per week or an average of 63 departures and 63 arrivals per day. There are expected to be somewhat more flights per week during the Christmas vacations than other weeks in the winter season. The average number of flights per week starts to increase again around mid-February (around Carnival).

Obviously, in terms of the number of flight movements, Eindhoven Airport remains within the maximum licensed number of flight movements of 41,500 per calendar year in line with Pieter van Geel's advice.
