Eindhoven Airport achieves highest level Airport Carbon Accreditation

Share

Eindhoven Airport has been certified to level 4+ 'Transformation': the new highest achievable level of the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme of ACI Europe (Airports Council International). This new quality mark confirms that Eindhoven Airport is taking concrete steps to reduce its CO2 emissions and that it has set out the relevant goals in its Sustainability Roadmap. In addition, Eindhoven Airport is working together with partners and users of the airport to achieve its zero emission goals. Until zero emission is achieved, the airport is compensating its residual emissions through a local climate project run by Smits Group in Wanroij.

ACI Europe examines, checks and recognizes the actions of participating airports in the area of CO2 reduction. The program consists of six levels. For more information see:  Airport Carbon Accreditation - Home
