Privacy statement - cleaning robots
Which personal data do we process? We process the following personal data when using cleaning robots:
Blurred camera footage: you are not identifiable in the images. Moreover, the camera is aimed at the ground, making it unlikely that (blurred) faces are captured.
Distance measurements between you and the cleaning robot using sensors.
Why do we process your personal data? This processing is based on Eindhoven Airport’s legitimate interest in deploying cleaning robots.
We use cleaning robots to improve cleaning quality and enhance the passenger experience. We need your personal data so the cleaning robot can avoid obstacles, including you as a visitor. Without cameras or sensors, the robot would not be able to move safely and autonomously. Since the personal data is processed only internally on the cleaning robot and is immediately deleted, we consider this privacy impact to be proportionate to Eindhoven Airport’s business interest in providing you with a clean airport.
You may request a more detailed explanation of the legitimate interest.
How long do we retain your details? Your personal data is immediately deleted on the cleaning robot and is not stored elsewhere.
Who do we share your data with? The cleaning robots are deployed by our cleaning contractor CSU. Eindhoven Airport retains final responsibility for that the data the cleaning robots process. As previously described, the cleaning robots use sensors and blurred camera images which are immediately deleted from the robot. Therefore, our cleaning contractor does not have access to your personal data.
Who is the controller? Eindhoven Airport N.V.
