Eindhoven Airport celebrates its 90th anniversary on 10 September. A milestone that users Eindhoven Airport, Eindhoven Air Base and the Eindhovense Aero Club Motorvliegen, which have used the airport for decades, like to celebrate. Of course, we do this together with our partners, employees and local residents. After all, with its civil, military and recreational air traffic, the airport is rooted in the region it serves; then and now. Various actions and festivities take place throughout the year. From, for example, a colouring competition for children to an exhibition for neighbours and other interested parties. Colouring contest (now expired) Do you like to colour? Then enter our colouring competition for children aged 4 to 9. The winners (in the categories 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 years old) get to come to the airport with the whole class for a guided tour. The winners will also receive a gift voucher worth 75 euros and a nice Eindhoven Airport surprise package. Exhibition 90 years Eindhoven Airport For everyone interested in the history of the airport, from the beginning of September there is a free (outdoor) exhibition about 90 years of Eindhoven Airport. Along a walking route running from the former airport building in Meerhoven to the forecourt of Eindhoven Airport, nine panels with photos and information sketch the history of the airport in a bird's eye view. Guided tour and free extensive lunch for 90-year-olds (now expired) On the occasion of our anniversary, we put a 90-year-old in the limelight. He or she and his or her companions receive a guided tour including an extensive lunch at Eindhoven Airport (worth 60 euros). The chosen one may take two people with him or her as an escort. Do you know someone who has a funny anecdote or nice story about the airport and who is or will be 90 years old in September? Concert by Royal Air Force Orchestra (now expired) There will be a free concert by the Royal Netherlands Air Force Orchestra on Friday evening 23 September at Eindhoven Air Base for people living near the airport.
