Places to visit in Poznań

Most cultural sights are found in the historical centre On top of all the monuments, the Old Market Square, cathedral and town hall, there is always a restaurant or café just around the corner. Museum and music lovers will definitely enjoy a few hours at the Museum of Musical Instruments. It was founded by Zdzislaw Szulc, an avid collector and specialist in all types of musical instruments. You'll find everything from pianos to instruments from far-away cultures, such as African drums. Another highly recommended museum is in the Gorka Palace. Built in the 16th century, the palace was later used as a monastery and school. Today it is home to an archaeological museum with a wide range of finds from Poland, Sudan and Egypt. Don't miss the medieval town hall either. It’s where you'll find the national museum and will let you unravel the city's long history.
