Eindhoven Airport and the coronavirus

The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak has been declared an international emergency by the World Health Organization (WHO). At Eindhoven Airport we are closely monitoring the corona situation.

The impact of the coronavirus is one of global proportions, with the aviation sector being heavily hit. Flight schedules are constantly amended and airports, including Eindhoven Airport, are taking measures to prevent further spread of the virus. We follow national guidelines and are in contact with various agencies and authorities, Also the airlines are continuously consulted with. The airport is a place where people from many different countries converge. We are therefore in close contact with the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment(RIVM) and Municipal Health Services (GGD) and follow their advice.

The National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) website gives you the latest information on the coronavirus. We strongly advise travellers to observe the hygiene measures that are in place. Cough and sneeze into your elbow, wash your hands regularly and use paper handkerchiefs. In addition, always keep a minimum distance of 1.5 metres between yourself and others.

Flights departing from Eindhoven Airport

For the moment you are still allowed to fly out of Eindhoven Airport, but you can no longer fly to all destinations. TUI, Corendon and Transavia have cancelled their flights. Ryanair and Wizzair are still flying to a limited number of destinations. If you want to know which routes these are, please contact the airline company directly.

Eindhoven Airport opening hours

As of Monday, 23 March, adapted opening hours temporarily apply at the airport. The terminal is open from Monday to Sunday from 6:15 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Airport restaurants and retail shops

Because of the new measures to combat the spread of coronavirus, all food and beverage service activities at Eindhoven Airport will be closed from 15 March until at least 6 April. Food and drink can still be purchased at AH To Go. With the exception of AviFlora, all retail shops at Eindhoven Airport are closed.

Parking at the airport

You can still park at the airport. Has your flight been cancelled and would you like to change your parking reservation? Log in to your account. You can cancel your parking reservation with arrival date up to 31 May 2020 free of charge. Does your booking commence tomorrow and is it 12 noon or later? Please send an e-mail to parkeren@eindhovenairport.nl to arrange your cancellation. Due to the extremely busy times, we kindly request not to contact us by phone.

Pick up and drop off

You can still pick people up or drop them off at Eindhoven Airport. To park your vehicle, you can go to car park P1.
